With as many showings as I have personally experienced on the key this summer, you would not think we are in any kind of a slump--much to the contrary. Showing activity continues to be strong through August with the following additional sales and 2 pending sales that should close in September. Here's what has closed between June and August 2008:4024 Casey Key, bayfront property built in 1979, approximately 4000 square feet under air, with boat dock and nice outdoor space. Located adjacent to Dryman Bridge, this property was listed for $1,800,000 and sold for $1,600,000.
2208 Casey Key, bayfront property built in 1995 and updated in 2004, with a Paul Rudolph guest cottage situated directly over the bay on concrete pilings with a covered boat slip; this property was listed at $3,100,000 and sold for $2,425,000.
434 North Casey Key, bayfront property, spec home built in 2008 with 5,400 square feet, with 2 master suites, was listed for $5,495,000 and sold for $4,850,000.
There are two additional homes pending and are expected to close in September. That will bring us to 11 sales plus one private sale through August 2008 with 2 additional properties pending. I am predicting a strong 4th quarter of activity.
